Helen Gill – Head of Service Delivery and Clinical Lead
Helen qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 1997 at University College London and worked in the NHS for 17 years. Here, Helen gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Autism. Following this, Helen moved into the independent sector and spent 4 years as the SEND Director in a Multi Academy Trust.
Helen has over 22 years experience providing assessments and diagnosis of autism and ADHD in children and adults from working in, and leading, multidisciplinary teams across neurodevelopmental services.
Helen also qualified as a Sleep Practitioner in 2015 and has supported many families in achieving better sleep.
Paul Roughead – Clinical Specialist Lead for ADHD
Paul is a qualified Registered Nurse in Learning Disability and has over 20 years of experience working across a range of settings, including inpatient, community and outpatient learning disability teams, child and adolescent teams, youth offending and education settings.
Paul worked in the NHS for over 19 years before moving into the independent sector.
Paul is a non-medical prescriber and has experience in running clinics with young people and adults with ADHD. As a qualified counsellor, Paul has volunteered for charities that support people with autism in the north east of England.
Nadine Bowery – Clinical Specialist Lead for ASD
Nadine is a Registered Nurse in Learning Disability and has over 25 years experience working across a range of settings including inpatient residential, child/adult respite and community learning disability nurse teams. Nadine has worked for a Primary Care Trust and also a Health Promotion Directorate to deliver various projects, including improving the health of people with learning disabilities, improving access to health for young people and mental health promotion projects.
For the past 14 years, Nadine has worked in a multidisciplinary team providing assessments and diagnosis of autism to children and young people and psycho-education workshops to families and wider professional groups.
Nadine has a second registration on the NMC register – Specialist Practitioner – Community Learning Disabilities Nursing and also a postgraduate certificate in Specialist Clinical Practice – Learning Disabilities and Autism in Children and Young People.
