Online therapy and mental health support for adults

Support starts with your needs, not a label.

When you’re struggling with your mental health, it can be hard to know what support you need or where to start.

You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress or another mental health challenge. You may also have neurodevelopmental needs, such as ADHD or autism, that are affecting your wellbeing.

We’re here to help you understand what you’re experiencing and find the right support.

Our qualified and accredited clinicians bring specialist expertise in mental health alongside neurodevelopmental needs, including ADHD and autism. And because we bring this expertise together, you can move through your journey without having to start again or retell your story.

We take the time to understand what’s happening, what matters to you and what an appropriate next step and care plan could look like.

Why choose Melios?

Mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental needs don’t always fit neatly into separate boxes.

Our approach combines mental health expertise, specialist neurodevelopmental understanding and evidence-based online care, helping us consider the whole person’s picture and needs.

Specialist mental health and neurodevelopmental expertise

Our qualified clinicians understand adult mental health alongside ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental needs.
This means we can explore what may relate to a mental health challenge, what could relate to a neurodevelopmental need and where the two may overlap, providing evidence-based support based on your individual needs.

Continuity of care

Sometimes people begin support for a mental health challenge and neurodevelopmental needs become clear later.

Where appropriate, Melios can support more of your journey within the same organisation, helping reduce the need to move between providers and repeatedly retell your story.

Experienced in delivering therapy online

Our qualified and accredited clinicians have extensive experience delivering therapeutic interventions digitally.

They understand how to build therapeutic relationships and deliver high-quality personalised support effectively in an online setting.

How it works

You don’t need to know which service you need before speaking to us.

Our supportive approach starts by understanding your concerns and guiding you through the appropriate steps.

1

Start with a free initial conversation with a member of our friendly team.

You can tell us about what you’ve been experiencing and what support you may be looking for. You can also ask questions before deciding whether you want to continue. This is free and there’s no obligation to proceed.

2

Clinical consultation

If you decide to continue, we’ll arrange a clinical consultation to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences, strengths and needs, and create an outline care plan.

3

Personalised recommendation and clinician matching

We’ll discuss the personalised care plan recommendation with you and carefully match you with a clinician whose expertise, experience and approach suit your needs.

4

Begin support

You will begin personalised support designed around your individual needs, with progress reviewed regularly along the way.

Psychological assessment – £300

A comprehensive mental health assessment exploring emotional, behavioural and functional needs, with a written summary and personalised recommendations. This is required for new customers who are not already known to Melios or Healios, or those who have not accessed support for some time.

Therapeutic interventions – £150 per session

Following the psychological assessment process, treatment will start based on your tailored care plan.

Thoughtful clinician matching

The relationship between you and your clinician can make a significant difference to your experience of support.

Rather than asking you to choose from a list or automatically assigning a clinician, we first take the time to understand your needs.
We then match you with a clinician based on their expertise, experience and approach.

Our adult mental health services

The right support depends on your individual needs.

Some adults benefit from a small number of focused sessions, while others may need support over a longer period.

Following the initial consultation and clinical review process, we’ll recommend an appropriate approach and explain the options available.

Psychological assessment – 1.5 hours
A comprehensive mental health assessment exploring emotional, behavioural and functional needs, with a written summary and personalised recommendations.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) – 1 hour per session
An evidence-based therapy to help adults develop practical coping skills and address common mental health challenges, including anxiety and low mood.

Integrated psychological support – 1 hour per session
A person-centred, goal-focused therapy designed to build useful strategies and resources and improve emotional wellbeing.

Post-assessment support – 1 hour per session
Specialist support focused on psychoeducation, adjustment, self-understanding and practical strategies following a neurodevelopmental assessment.

Extended therapy sessions – 1.5 hours per session
Additional time and flexibility for adults whose individual needs mean more time is needed during each session to tell their story.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an ADHD or autism diagnosis to access support?

No. Support starts with your needs, not a diagnosis.

We support broader mental health challenges as well as needs associated with ADHD and autism.

How do I know what type of support I need?

It’s completely normal to have questions and you don’t need to know the answers before contacting us.

The free consultation gives you an opportunity to share what you’ve been experiencing and ask questions. If you decide to continue, the clinical review will then help us build a fuller picture and recommend an appropriate approach.

What if neurodivergence is identified?

Mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental needs can sometimes overlap.

If neurodevelopmental factors show up and feel important to understanding your needs, our clinicians can help you understand these within the wider picture and discuss appropriate next steps.

And because we bring expertise in ADHD, autism and mental health together, you can move through your journey without having to start again or retell your story.

Are sessions delivered online?

Yes. Our clinicians have extensive experience delivering therapeutic interventions digitally and supporting adults in an online setting.

Many people find accessing online support from the comfort of their home or chosen safe place reassuring, and research shows that online therapy is comparable to in person therapy in many cases.

How are clinicians matched?

We consider your needs, experiences and goals before matching you with a clinician whose expertise, experience and approach are appropriate for you.

Can you provide ADHD or autism support?

Yes. Melios has specialist expertise in ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental needs alongside broader mental health support.

How much does support cost?

Your initial consultation is free.

If you decide to continue, the psychological assessment is £300, followed by therapy sessions at £150 per session. For current Melios or Healios customers, you may not need to have the psychological assessment to access therapy or support.

We’ll explain the recommended support and costs before you proceed.

Ready to take the first step?

You don’t need the answers before reaching out.

Whether you’re looking for support for a specific challenge, awaiting an assessment and need help now, want to learn coping strategies or simply want to explore what’s been affecting your mental health, we’re here to help you where you are now.
