Online therapy and mental health support for children and young people
Support starts with your child’s needs, not a label.
When your child is struggling or has anxiety, it can be hard to know what support they need. It could be a mental health challenge, neurodevelopmental needs, or a combination of both. We’re here to help you understand what they’re experiencing and find the right support.
Our qualified and accredited clinicians bring specialist expertise in neurodevelopmental needs, including ADHD and autism, alongside broader mental health support. And because we bring this expertise together, your child can move through their journey without having to start again or retell their story.

We take the time to understand what’s happening, what matters to your child and family and what an appropriate next step and care plan could look like.
Why choose Melios?
Mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental needs don’t always fit neatly into separate boxes.
Our approach combines mental health expertise, specialist neurodevelopmental understanding and expert-led online care, helping us consider the whole person’s picture and needs.
Specialist mental health and neurodevelopmental expertise
Our qualified clinicians understand children and young people’s mental health alongside ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental needs.
This means we can explore what may relate to a mental health challenge, what could relate to a neurodevelopmental need and where the two may overlap – providing evidence-based support based on your child’s individual needs.
Continuity of care
Sometimes a child begins support for a mental health challenge and neurodevelopmental needs become clear later.
Where appropriate, Melios can support more of your child’s journey within the same organisation, helping reduce the need to move between providers and repeatedly retell their story.
Experienced in delivering therapy online
Our qualified and accredited clinicians have extensive experience delivering therapeutic interventions digitally.
They understand how to build therapeutic relationships and deliver high-quality personalised support effectively in an online setting.
How it works
You don’t need to know which service your child needs before speaking to us.
Our supportive approach starts by understanding your concerns and guiding you through the appropriate steps.
1
Free initial consultation
Start with a free initial conversation with a member of our friendly team.
You can tell us about your child, what you have been experiencing as a family and what support you may be looking for. You can also ask questions before deciding whether you want to continue. This is free and there’s no obligation to proceed.
2
Clinical consultation
If you decide to continue, we’ll arrange a clinical consultation to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s experiences, strengths and needs, and create an outline care plan.
3
Personalised recommendation and clinician matching
We’ll discuss the personalised care plan recommendation with you and carefully match your child with a clinician whose expertise, experience and approach suit their needs.
4
Begin support
Your child begins personalised support designed around their individual needs, with progress reviewed regularly along the way.

Psychological assessment – £300
A comprehensive mental health assessment exploring emotional, behavioural and functional needs, with a written summary and personalised recommendations. This is required for new customers who are not already known to Melios or Healios, or those who have not accessed support for some time.
Therapeutic interventions – £150 per session
Following the psychological assessment process, treatment will start based on your tailored care plan.
Thoughtful clinician matching
The relationship between a child or young person and their clinician can make a significant difference to their experience of support.
Rather than asking families to choose from a list or automatically assigning a clinician, we first take the time to understand your child’s needs.
We then match them with a clinician based on their expertise, experience and approach.

Our children and young people’s mental health services
The right support depends on your child’s individual needs.

Frequently asked questions
Does my child need an ADHD or autism diagnosis to access support?
No. Support starts with your child’s needs, not a diagnosis.
We support broader mental health challenges as well as needs associated with ADHD and autism.
How do I know what type of support my child needs?
It’s completely normal to have questions and you don’t need to know the answers before contacting us.
The free consultation gives you an opportunity to share what your family has been experiencing and ask questions. If you decide to continue, the clinical review will then help us build a fuller picture and recommend an appropriate approach.
What if neurodivergence is identified?
Mental health challenges and neurodevelopmental needs can sometimes overlap.
If neurodevelopmental factors show up and feel important to understanding your child’s needs, our clinicians can help you understand these within the wider picture and discuss appropriate next steps.
And because we bring expertise in ADHD, autism and mental health together, your child can move through their journey without having to start again or retell their story.
Are sessions delivered online?
Yes. Our clinicians have extensive experience delivering therapeutic interventions digitally and supporting children and families in an online setting.
Many people find accessing online support from the comfort of their home or chosen safe place reassuring, and research shows that online therapy is comparable to in person therapy in many cases.
How are clinicians matched?
We consider your child’s needs, experiences and goals before matching them with a clinician whose expertise, experience and approach are appropriate for them.
Can you provide ADHD or autism support?
Yes. Melios has specialist expertise in ADHD, autism and other neurodevelopmental needs alongside broader mental health support.
How much does support cost?
Your initial consultation is free.
If you decide to continue, the psychological assessment is £300, followed by therapy sessions at £150 per session. For current Melios or Healios customers, you may not need to have the psychological assessment to access therapy or support.
We’ll explain the recommended support and costs before you proceed.

Whether you’re looking for support for a specific challenge, awaiting an assessment and need help now, want to learn coping strategies or simply want to explore what’s been affecting your mental health, we’re here to help you where you are now.
